Energy and Climate Change

Robert Priddle

Penerbit : OECD
Tahun : 1997

Climate change is a major global issue with profound implications for the way the world produces and consumes energy. IEA Ministers have repeatedly renewed their commitment to adopt policies aimed at more environmentally friendly forms of energy use and production. Climate response strategies being developed by IEA countries need to be based on a solid understanding of energy systems, an awareness of the magnitude of the policy challenge and an assessment of practical options for cost-effective action by governments. This report analyses historical trends and IEA projections of energy-related CO, emissions and assesses policy options for reducing these emissions.
